LEAMINGTON boxer Richard Donnelly demonstrated his potential once again after beating Sam Spooner to claim his fifth win in eight fights.
The 24-year-old won by a unanimous points decision in Nottingham on Friday and coach Oliver O’Neill feels he has all of the attributes needed to be atop fighter.
“Richard could be a great fighter if he puts his mind to it,” said O’Neill.
“This was only his eighth belt and it was a good win for him. He has taken a few knocks in the past but he can box.”
Jack Kettleborough was also in action in Nottingham on Friday when he took to the ring for a skills belt against Stevils Charalameus.
O’Neill added: “Jack is coming on well and is showing signs he can become a really tough boxer.
“We’re getting him ready for his first fight now but he’s coming on well.”
