JAMES Barton crossed twice as Claverdon RFC finished the season with a bonus point 40-19 victory against Bromyard.
Barton dotted down both of his tries in the first half as Hilton Garner-Jones, Robbie Foster, George Redwood and Charlie Wakelam all crossed in a comfortable win at Ossetts Hole Lane.
The result means Claverdon finish the season in seventh place in their maiden Counties 2 Midlands West (South) campaign.
And the Lions took the lead in the opening two minutes when Barton charged over the line and James Williams added the extras.
Claverdon struck again when Garner-Jones chipped the ball over his opposite number and scored in the corner before Barton grabbed his second try with a similar effort to his first.
Bromyard responded with a try of their own following some determined carries towards the Claverdon line before Foster’s breakaway try put the home side in command.
And the visitors crossed again in the second period after some sustained pressure on the Claverdon line before Redwood and Wakelam both dotted down to wrap up an impressive win.
