SPA Strider Clare Hinton took her strong summer form into the winter season by finishing as fifth lady at the cross country Coombe 8.
She came home in a time of 59 minutes and 28 seconds.
Carolyn Wilkinson (63:24), Susie Stannard (63:57) and Ruth Tennant (67:33) completed the first-placed ladies team.
Lucy Hartwright, Vicky Sharpe, Liz Draper, Emma Bird and Annie Bryan finished the line up.
Despite four finishers in the top 11, the men’s team comprising of Chris McKeown (49:32 – 5th), Adam Notley (51:05 – 6th), Dave Mills (52:09 – 8th) and Steve Taylor (52:45 – 11th) just missed out on the team prize.
They were closely followed by Rob Mantell, David Chantrey, Rob Egan, Greg Harris, Ian Davis, Doug Rattray, Paul Harris and James Robbins.
Meanwhile, Helen Pugh completed the Windsor & Eton half marathon in 1:58:49, finally managing to dip under the two-hour mark after a mere 12 years of trying.
Over in Broadway, there was a merry contingent of Striders taking on the hilly half marathon.
Claire Murphy was first lady home and ninth overall in 1:54:52.
Murphy was closely followed by Anne Hurrell (2:03:49), Rosie Banks (2:04:40), Charlotte Everard (2:04:41) in 5th, 8th and 9th lady respectively.
In the men’s race, Rich Sykes (1:47:28) finished in 5th place.
Edd Banks, Dexter Teale, Ben Cohen, Matt Leydon, Lucy Marcovitch, Bethan Gwynn, Jo Fleming, Lucy Tugwell, Zoe Beale, Jude Baum, Emma Bish, Claire Westrope, Mike Cox, Peter Schofield, Andrew Pope, Catherine Friggens and Kathleen McCann completed the Strider contingent.
In the second race of the Ilmington Winter Tempo 10 Series, Aitor Tudero came home in 4th place, clocking 38:26.
He was joined by Simon (44:01) and Lorraine Parsons (55:30) who both recorded course PBs on their wedding anniversary.
Iain Roebuck (48:09) and Natalie Dellar (1:09:07) also took on the hilly 10k.
Mel Venables finished as 4th lady in the Rugged Radnage 10k in a time of 47:36.
Chris Wilson took on the Coventry 10, finishing in 41:10.
Finally, Andy Roach completed the Gosport Half in 1:34:37 and Chris Jones completed the Conwy Half Marathon in 2:39:32.
