FOOTBALL: Star striker Courtney Baker-Richardson has joined Premier League giants Leicester for ‘a couple of days’.
The youngster, who spent time at Coventry City’s academy, has proved popular among Brakes fans in recent years – especially after scoring a dramatic extra-time winner in last year’s playoff final against Hitchin Town to seal Leamington’s spot in the Vanarama National League North.
A statement on the Leamington FC website read: “After a request from Leicester City, the football club have agreed for Courtney Baker-Richardson to link up with the Premier League club for a couple of days.
“If there are any further developments regarding Courtney, we will do our best to keep supporters informed as quickly as possible.”
