Victory for Jason Haynes in Bubbenhall

JASON Haynes demonstrated his consistent form again by winning the final Club Championship event in Bubbenhall last Wednesday night.

Despite the light showers and gloomy skies, there was just enough of a break for the Leamington Cycling and Athletics Club five-mile Time Trial event to go ahead and Haynes was the first rider over the line in a time of 11 minutes and 14 seconds.

Haynes beat off the attention of in-form junior Freddie Loveday who finished first in 12.01, while regular triathlete Pierre Guern beat Mark Wise to the podium in a time of 12.01.

Anouk Molliex again won the Women’s trophy in 13.52 and in doing so also beat several male athletes.
