Warwick School Under-13s through to national final

STUDENTS at Warwick School are celebrating after their Under-13s side made it through to the final of a national cup competition.

A 46-5 win over QEGS Wakefield has seen Warwick progress into the final of the School Sport Magazine National Cup and they are now just one win away from lifting the national title.

In cold and damp conditions Warwick dominated early possession but made little headway against an excellent QEGS defence.

However, as Warwick began to relax they were able to put a number of phases together to create gaps and tries were scored by Kunwoo Ha, Finlay Smith and Tom Boorman.

Turnover possession then created a try for Ethan Evan Cook and a second for Kunwoo Ha.

QEGS had more possession in the second half and scored a well-deserved try after a series of drives but further good play by Warwick resulted in another try for Finlay Smith and Ethan Evan Cook completed his hat- trick.

Warwick will now play Trinity School from Croydon in the final on March 18 at Bloxham School to be crowned the winner after 120 schools from across the country entered.

Harry Spencer, Ethan Evan Cook and Giles King all get stuck in. (s)
