WARWICK School’s Under-13s side were narrowly defeat by Trinity School in the final of the School Sports Magazine National Cup.
The Croydon-based side made a positive start at Maidenhead rugby club and with the wind advantage they were able to kick the first points of the game to take the lead.
However, Warwick came back strongly and two tries by Tom Patrick either side of half-time gave them a 12-3 lead.
As the second half progressed, the larger Trinity pack started to dominate possession which resulted in two tries of their own to take a 15-12 lead.
The Warwick boys threw everything they had at Trinity in the final ten minutes but they could not find a breakthrough as their season ended in disappointment but they can be proud of their runner-up position.
