IAIN Wallace started the new season in fine style at Kenilworth Golf Club on Saturday.
He carded a tidy 74, nett 65, to finish as a convincing winner in the April Medal from runner-up Alistair Giffen 79, nett 69. Wallace also claimed the best gross prize and will be the club’s representative in the forthcoming PGA qualifiers.
The Division B honours went to Richard Moon 81, nett 70, who just edged out Kieron Quirke 84, nett 71, while Luke Swinnerton 82, nett 65, triumphed in Division C from Paresh Patel 89, nett 68.
Previously, Simon Hegan and Adrian Riddell lifted the Prentice Trophy after posting 74, nett 69, in the foursomes competition with Ray Miller and Colin Smith 87, nett 69.5, finishing runners-up.
