Young tennis star Ferran Redza aiming high after leading the Warwickshire and West Midland rankings

YOUNGSTER Ferran Redza continued his rise up the local tennis ladder by finishing as the top player in recent Warwickshire and West Midlands tournaments.

The eight-year-old, who lives in Warwick, has been playing at Warwick Tennis Club since he was three-and-a-half years of age and has been competing in tournaments since he was five.

The Budbrooke School pupil now tops the county leaderboard after picking up points in grade five and four competitions this season.

Redza, who also trains in Loughborough, is a Warwickshire county player and will be attending a free session at Wawick Tennis Club this Sunday from 2pm which is free for junior and adults players to get a taste of the sport.
