STUART Pierpoint and Stefan Moore have both been released by Brakes manager Paul Holleran.
Defender Pierpoint joined Leamington from Solihull in the summer to bolster the club’s defensive options but has not done enough to warrant a place in the squad.
Whilst former Aston Villa striker Moore was subject of a seven day approach from Solihull Moors last week has also been released following discussions this week.
“I have had a number of conversations with Stefan in the last week.” revealed Holleran.
“Whilst we were prepared to improve our offer we could not match what was on offer from Solihull.
“We are in a dog-fight at the bottom end of the table and I need players who are fully commited to the cause. I felt that it was better for both parties that he moved on.”
“Unfortunately it has not quite worked out for Stuart and following the arrival of Delroy Gordon last week I made the decision to release him.
“He is an excellent professional and needs to be playing and I also need to balance the books. I wish him well and I’m sure he will get himself sorted out with another club soon.”
