RACING Club Warwick eased into the play-off final with a dominant 4-0 win against 10-man March Town United.

The Racers are now just one win from promotion after Simeon Cobourne, Josh Willis and Callum Carsley all found the net before an own goal completed the scoring at Townsend Meadow.

And with Racing already three goals to the good, March’s Jay Whyatt saw red for a high challenge on home substitute Charlie Jones.

Warwick will play Aylestone Park in the United Counties League Premier Division South play-off final on Saturday, April 27 with kick-off at 3pm at Townsend Meadow.

The Racers broke the deadlock after just eight minutes when Cobourne fired a low effort into the bottom right corner from James Hancocks’ pass.

And the home side doubled their lead seven minutes later as Willis superbly volleyed a loose ball into the bottom left corner from 15-yards out but injured his ankle in the process.

Warwick all but sealed their place in the final on the hour mark when Carsley unleashed a stunning strike into the top left corner from 25-yards out.

And after March’s Whyatt received his marching orders, Adam Brumby turned Luke Shearer’s cross into his own net in the final minute.

In the other play-off semi-final, Aylestone beat St Neots Town on penalties.

Warwick host Aylestone in the final on Saturday, April 27 with kick-off at 3pm at Townsend Meadow.
