PARKING wardens are not known for their sense of humour – except this one in Leamington.
Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance responding to an emergency call landed on the Pump Room Gardens this morning.
While the air ambulance was on the ground many passers-by took the chance to take a look inside the helicopter – including a parking warden who jokingly issued the vehicle a ticket for parking on the grass.
The air ambulance crew – who don’t have much to laugh about in their job – were among those who saw the funny side.
Lawrence Baker, our reporter on the scene who snapped the photo, said: “Everyone was laughing.
“It can’t be easy dealing with angry motorists day in day out, but this warden had certainly not lost his sense of humour.”
Touching down at around 10am, the crew were called to a medical incident on Somers Place.
A woman was treated at the scene before being taken to hospital by land ambulance so the helicopter was not needed.
