ALADDIN was brought to the stage by youngsters at Kingsley School in Leamington.
Pupils presented Disney’s tale of a street rat who freed a genie from a lamp and found his wishes granted to packed audiences over two nights.
The main cast of Year 6 pupils, supported by a chorus and ensemble of Years 3 to 5, rose to the challenge of performing the much loved film and Broadway musical songs, including A Whole New World and Friend Like Me.
Director and teacher Emma Smith said: “It has been a real pleasure working with the pupils – they have demonstrated a confidence and sensitivity to performance that is well beyond their age.
“They brought the house down on both nights with lengthy standing ovations. I am incredibly proud of them.”
