APPLE pressing will highlight an open day at a farm in Radford Semele.
The Canalside Community Food scheme – which grows produce for weekly boxes – is opening its gates on Saturday (October 14) from 11am for people to look around the fields and fruit orchard and to help press apples.
There will also be a tour of the farm at 2pm, a play area for youngsters to enjoy and space to have a picnic.
Scheme administrator Ali Jeffery said: “People often tell us they drive past our gate every day and have always wondered what we do, so we think that opening the gates and showing people round is a great way for them to find out how Canalside works and how they can get involved.”
