Armed robbers target jewellery store in Warwick

BALACLAVA-CLAD robbers armed with a crowbar stole jewellery from a store in Warwick.

Three men snatched jewellery from cabinets in Hamlington’s Fine Jewellery shop in Market Place around 4.45pm on Tuesday (January 16), around 4.45pm.

The thieves are believed to have fled in a dark grey Audi 4×4 – with a registration ending ‘DMF’ – waiting outside.

Staff were shocked but unhurt.

Det Insp Tim Sharp said: “We’re thankful nobody was injured, but it was an understandably distressing ordeal for those involved.

“Officers arrived quickly and people will have noticed an increased police presence as enquiries continue.”

Anyone with information should call police on 101.
