ARMED robbers terrified a woman in her own Whitnash home.
The 60-year-old victim’s ordeal at the Medley Grove property started just after 7pm on Thursday evening.
Two men entered and threatened the victim with what was believed to be a hammer and demanded money.
The thieves searched the property and stole the victim’s mobile phone before making off on foot in the direction of Tachbrook Road.
The woman was not injured but left shaken following the incident.
Both men were white and one was described as quite tall and of slim build. The other was stockier. Both worse gloves and the stocky thief carried a rucksack.
Det Con Claire Scott, from Warwickshire Police said: “We realise that this incident will cause concern in the community and while no arrests have been made, investigations are ongoing and we have increased patrols in the area to offer reassurance.
“We take reports of this nature extremely seriously and urge the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious behaviour they may see.
