Armed robbery at Green Man pub in Kenilworth

Leamington Editorial 23rd Apr, 2014 Updated: 28th Oct, 2016

MASKED robbers wielding weapons made off with cash from a Kenilworth pub.

The three men – one carrying a crowbar, one a machete and the other a knife – forced their way into the The Green Man in Warwick Road shortly before 10am on Tuesday (April 22).

They locked three staff members in the cash room and fled in a white Hyundai Veloster taken from outside the pub. The car was later found in the Tile Hill area of Coventry.

No one was injured during the robbery, though staff members were shaken.

The men are described as white, all in their 20s and wearing black tracksuit type clothing with hoods.

Anyone with information is asked to call Warwickshire Police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
