JEPHSON Gardens was awash with colour at the weekend.
Around 2,000 people hit the town on Saturday and Sunday (August 1 and 2) for the Art in the Park festival.
Showcasing the work of local artists, the event also featured live performances from bands and theatre groups.
And there was also a range of creative hands-on opportunities for visitors who took the chance to get involved with clay pot making, flora and fauna-inspired screen printing and designing their own t-shirt.
The aim of the festival is to celebrate the wide diversity of local artists and create a space to demonstrate their skills while also inspiring others to take up an artistic pursuit.
The Observer went along to capture some of the atmosphere.
