VILLAGERS turned out to enjoy this year’s Ashorne Show.
More than £300 was raised at this year’s event which will go towards maintaining the village hut.
The show saw more than 120 entries in competitions from home-grown produce and crafts to waggiest tail pets and flower arranging.
There was even an award for best turned out pet – which went to a tame hen named Dolly.
Organiser Trish Handsley said: “It was a fantastic atmosphere, wonderful weather and great that we had a record entry for competitions.
“We revived the Village Show four years ago, several decades after the last one had been held and it’s really caught on.
“It helps to bring the village together and we enjoyed welcoming lots of visitors from further afield.”
