AN ASSISTANCE dog from Sherbourne is stepping into the limelight.

A litter of puppies who are being trained with charity Dogs for Good are set to appear on Channel Five’s Wonderful World of Puppies.

Among the litter of eight Labradors is a pup called Maud, who can often be seen out with puppy socialiser Charlotte Baldassari from Sherbourne.

Maud, along with his six brothers, one sister and mum Brenda, will appear in the show from Saturday (June 30) at 5pm, and every following Saturday at 6pm.

Charlotte will appear alongside the pups on Saturday July 21.

A spokeswoman for the charity said: “This is the only time that the programme has featured a litter of puppies that are destined for lives as specialist assistance dogs for adults and children with physical disabilities and children with autism.”
