Aylesford nurses in line for RCN award

A TEAM of nurses at Warwick Hospital have been shortlisted for an award recognising their ‘fantastic’ care.

The Aylesford Unit team have been nominated for the cancer nursing award at the Royal College of Nursing.

The award recognises nurses who treat patients with cancer on a daily basis and have improved care. The team are one of five across the country who have been shortlisted.

Macmillan nurse consultant Carole Connor, who leads the unit, said: “I am delighted the team have been nominated for this award, it really is a great honour.




“I feel very lucky to be able to lead a team of fantastic professionals and work with inspirational patients, I am amazed by their bravery and strength every day.”

The team will find out if they have won at a ceremony today (Friday).
