CAKES aplenty were baked and shared during a bake-off in Southam in aid of the Macmillan Worlds Biggest Coffee Morning.
The bake-off was organised by developer Bloor Homes, with the competition judged by estate agent Edward Bromwich.
And residents Robert and Patricia King scooped the Star Baker title for a lemon drizzle cake baked by their daughter-in-law Caroline.
Sales director Vanessa Macnee said: “It was fantastic to see so many entries from across the community, there was a real buzz in the office and having sampled the lemon drizzle cake myself it was a worthy winner.
“Most importantly the event helped raise funds for a really important charity and I would like to thank everyone who came down, whether to submit an entry or simply to sample them, for their time and generous donations.”
The event raised £250 for the charity which organises a nationwide coffee morning event every year.
