Benny would be a willing-pupil for potential new pals

POOCHES at Dogs Trust Kenilworth have got their paws crossed 2022 will mean, not only a new start, but a new home too.

Staff at Dogs Trust Kenilworth – who have around 120 dogs in their care – are calling on dog lovers who want to welcome a furry friend into their life in 2022, to consider adopting a rescue dog.

Following our previous four-legged festive campaigns – which have seen dogs rehomed as a result – the Observer is once again showcasing potential canine companions in the hopes readers, with a paw-shaped hole in their heart, might consider taking one home.

Benny found himself back at Dogs Trust after a change in his family’s circumstances meant they felt they could no longer give him everything he needed.

The team say Benny, who is a five-year-old Crossbreed, is super-clever so if his new owners want to teach him new things, he will definitely be a willing pupil – especially if there are tasty treats on offer as he loves his food, and loves playing with toys too.

At the centre he enjoys taking a walk on the field with his two-legged friends and makes everyone laugh when he bounces around in the long grass.

He would be best suited to a quiet adult only home where he is the only pet, and he would like to get to know his owners at the centre before heading home so he has the best chance of settling in with them. He will need his own secure garden so he can relax outside if he prefers.
