MORETON Morrell College has been forced into lockdown following a threat to one of its students.
An announcement on the college’s Facebook page today (Thursday) reads: “We have made the decision to lockdown Moreton Morrell College following a threat to one of our students. We moved the students from their teaching classroom as a precaution and called the police.
“All students and staff are safe.
“We clearly do not know at this stage if this is just a threat.”
Police arrived at the college at just before 1pm and staff reported they were liaising with officers on the most appropriate next steps.
The college added that no one should come onto the site at this stage and it would share more information in due course.
