BUDDING entrepreneurs in Leamington have turned pennies into pounds.
Pupils at Milverton Primary School were given £1 each by property company ehB Residential and were challenged to come up with activities which would make it grow to help pay for new computer equipment.
And the 320 business-minded youngsters raised more than £3,000 through car washes, busking, cake and ice lolly sales, a popcorn and puppet show, football crossbar challenge. Several children chose to sell their own toys and someone even wrote a book and sold it.
Headteacher Matthew Fisher said: “A big thank you from everyone at Milverton School to all at ehB Residential for making this possible.
“It has been a really fantastic project, both as a fundraising opportunity and as an entrepreneurial learning experience for our children.”
