Budding lionesses at a Warwick primary school score a new kit

BUDDING Lionesses at Woodloes Primary School in Warwick have scored a new kit.

The under-11’s girls team has been awarded a new football kit by Milton Keynes-based health and safety software company Safesmart.

This award makes Woodloes Primary one of ten recipients of a Sports Kit Sponsorship Grant that is open exclusively to all schools that are users of Safesmart’s health and safety software Smartlog.

Headteacher Andy Mitchell said: “Following the success of the Lionesses winning the European Championships in 2022, we have seen a huge amount of enthusiasm and interest from our girls to start playing football. Our teachers have been only too happy to help and opportunities have been created for the girls to train and play as a team.

“This has grown over the last two years and after last summer’s success at the World Cup our girls are as keen as they have ever been to take their football to the next level.

“We are absolutely delighted that our girls have had the chance to win a new football kit from Safesmart which matches their aspirations. They look absolutely great and we know this will give them a great boost to be the best team possible.”

Safesmart’s Sports Kit Sponsorship Grant has been running since April 2021, with 30 winning schools from around the country receiving a free sports kit so far.
