Burglars cause thousands of pounds worth of damage to glasshouse in Leamington

BURGLARS who broke into the glasshouse in Jephson Gardens in Leamington, have caused thousands of pounds worth of damage.

Sometime between 4pm on Sunday December 31 and 6.30am on January 1, thugs got into the building – which was closed for the evening- caused damage and stole the donation box.

The box which is emptied frequently did not contain a significant amount of money, but the attraction – which houses a range of tropical plants – has been closed while repairs take place.

Witnesses or anyone with information should call police on 101.
