BURGLARS threatened a man with a crowbar and hammer before stealing the contents of a safe.

The victim, a man in his 30s, was sitting in his living room with the patio door open when three men entered the house on Fallow Hill in Leamington.

The aggravated burglary took place on Wednesday (July 26) at around 11.30pm.

It’s reported that the three offenders, once in the living room, threatened the victim with a hammer and crow bar before conducting an untidy search of the house.

They left with contents of safe, a wallet, cash, keys and a mobile phone to name just a few.

After leaving the house, they also searched the victim’s vehicle which was at the back of the property.

They left the scene in an unknown direction.

PC Andrew Rouse said: “This was a frightening incident for the victim, who has not been injured but is understandably shaken.

“I would like to reassure the community that a thorough investigation is underway and increased patrols are being conducted in the area.”

Anyone with information is asked to call police on 101 or ring 0800 555 111 to speak to Crimestoppers anonymously.
