THE CANAL Festival moored up in Leamington at the weekend.
Stalls, food vans and a bar lined the Clemens Street next to the Grand Union Canal on Sunday (June 24).
There was also live music and a model boat building competition at the festival – which was funded by grants from Leamington town and Warwick district councils.
Warwick district Green Party member Martin Luckhurst applauded those who helped organised the festival.
He said: “Special gratitude must go out to Sandy Porter from Leamington Old Town team and Coun Janet Alty who organised the hugely successful festival. Matt from Procaffeinate did sterling work as well. Thank you to all who attended and made it a special event.
“Putting on a festival like this has its risks. I want to applaud the people who took those risks and put months of hard work putting all this together.
“It’s fantastic when people get up and make something happen to bring our community together.”
