CANDIDATES for the Warwick and Leamington seat at the forthcoming general election battled it out in live debate.
Ahead of the voters going to the polls on Thursday December 12 four candidates took part in a debate at North Leamington School.
Labour’s Matt Western, Liberal Democrat Louis Adam, Conservative Jack Rankin and Green Party candidate Jonathan Chilvers took to the podium in front of some 250 sixth formers who questioned the candidates.
A North Leamington School spokeswoman said: “We are delighted the candidates took the time to come into school and debate some of the real issues facing the young people of today in the run up to the election. It was a very valuable and insightful event.”
Following the debate Labour candidate Matt Western headed to Leamington Town Hall where he met shadow foreign secretary Emily Thornberry for a rally as part of the launch of the party manifesto.
