THE CENTENARY Save the Children is being marked by a celebration lunch at The Warwickshire Golf & Country Club.
The Leamington, Warwick & Kenilworth branch of the charity is hosting the Centenary Celebration lunch at The Warwickshire Golf on Tuesday June 25.
Tickets are £40 which includes a welcome drink, a three course lunch with coffee, live entertainment from singer Cathy Morris and three speakers, all with first-hand experience of Save the Children’s work.
Marilyn Payne has visited projects in India and Liberia, Anne Watts nursed in Vietnam at the height of the war and later worked with the refugees fleeing the Khmer Rouge in Cambodia while Tamara Lowe is currently head of humanitarian communication for the charity and has visited projects in Gaza, Bangladesh, the Dominican Republic, Somaliland, Kenya and Colombia.
