Charitable trust gives back to Warwickshire charities

GIVING back to the communities it works in is the motto of a charitable trust that has raised over £250,000 for local charities.

The O’Brien Contractors Charitable Trust has passed the quarter of a million-pound fundraising mark within seven years of its founding.

And among its beneficiaries is Molly Olly’s Wishes based in Warwick and Zoe’s Place in Leamington, as well as Warwickshire and Northampton Air Ambulance.

The Trust was established in 2017 and has provided considerable help and support to communities local to the projects O’Brien is involved in.

Last year’s fundraising efforts exceeded the Trust’s target amount by £22,500, with most notable fundraising activities including an annual charity golf day which raised over £12,000 and an annual charity bike ride that raised over £13,000.

Peter O’Brien, managing director at O’Brien Contractors, said: “As a charitable trust, our mission has always been to give back to the community we work in and to those who need it the most. Even though we have exceeded our annual target year-on-year, to reach a quarter of a million is a fantastic achievement and we hope to continue the hard work for many more years.”
