Charities get welcome festive donation

CHARITIES in the district have received a helping festive hand from Taylor Wimpey Midlands.

essential and festive items to two local charities in the run up to Christmas.

The housebuilder donated food, hygiene and cleaning products to Warwick District Foodbank.

Supported by The Trussell Trust’s UK-wide foodbank network, Warwick District Foodbank works to

combat poverty and hunger by providing emergency food and offering vital support for local families and people in crisis.

Taylor Wimpey also ran a Christmas fundraiser in support of Warwick-based charity

Evelyn’s Gift.

The team were tasked with collecting sweets and chocolates to be included in festive hampers for young and vulnerable people in the local community. The team were supported by Warwickshire Search and Rescue Service, who helped to deliver the items to the charity.

Evelyn’s Gift was formed in 2014 to do something positive in memory of Evelyn Mary

Smith, who passed away suddenly aged seven. The aims of the charity are to

provide little acts of kindness to people in need and to train as many people as possible in CPR and life-support skills.
