Charity Christmas fair forced to move due to General Election

A CHARITY Christmas fair is being forced to move location due to the General Election.

For the past 12 years the Save the Children fair has been held in Leamington Town Hall.

But as the venue will be used to count postal votes ahead of the election on December 12, the event has instead been moved to the nearby Pump Rooms on Saturday and Sunday (December 7 and 8).

Exhibitors will be coming from across the UK to sell crafts and gifts, from enamel jewellery and stained glass decorations to handmade insect hotels.

There will also be a raffle, giant tombola and refreshments available.

Secretary of the Leamington, Warwick and Kenilworth branch of Save the Children, Ann Bailey, said: “The fair is our biggest event of the year and is a challenge for our small group of volunteers and we very much hope that the public will support it at the Pump Rooms as they have in the past. They won’t be disappointed by the quality and variety of items on sale”

The fair will be open between 10am to 4pm on Saturday and 11am to 5pm on Sunday. Entry is free.
