Charlecote Park plans crafty Christmas

A CRAFTY Christmas is planned at Charlecote Park ,

The National Trust property near Wellesbourne is opening its doors for a heritage crafts-themed festive experience from December 2 to January 1.

The focus will be on‘red-listed’ heritage crafts and come ahead of Charlecote Park’s 2024 exhibition on traditional skills, materials and techniques.

From harp making to globe making, visitors will be able to discover some of the traditions the staff and volunteers are reviving.

There will also be a heritage crafts Christmas trail.

Collections and house officer Abby Swarbrick said: “I’m particularly looking forward to seeing the library filled with decorations inspired by the art of illuminating. For once, Christmas won’t be all red and green, but a riot of rich colours.”
