Chart success comes to pop singer from Kineton

A JAZZ-POP singer from Kineton has come a long way since performing with the Warwickshire County Girls Choir.

Twenty three-year-old Eva Gadd has just released her new single Get It with Grammy award winning Jazztronica duo NK-OK.

Eva grew up in Kineton and her early music life included performing with the Warwickshire County Girls Choir in The Nutcracker at Birmingham Hippodrome. She then went on to study popular music at Stratford College and Falmouth University.

She said: “Many of my songs thus far have been acoustic voice and piano. Having the chance to work with co-writers Namali and David of Blue Lab Beats has given my music a fascinating new dimension and watching them work in their London studio has been a real insight for me.”

Get It is the second release from a forthcoming EP.

And Eva is still on a high from performing on the BBC Introducing stage at Truck Festival in July. This year has also seen her on stage at Beat Herder Festival in Lancashire and the O2 Academy Oxford.

Eva added she hopes Get It will be as well received as her debut single Breathing, which was picked up by some of the big playlists including New Music Friday and Fresh Finds UK.
