PLANS for chicken sheds to house some 20,000 hens in Norton Lindsey have been withdrawn.
It follows fears raised over smell, noise and dust from the storage and delivery of feed, bedding and litter and feathers.
The plans for the site at Ward Hill in Warwick Road received around 70 objections from residents who were also concerned about lorries accessing the site from the busy narrow road.
Some also raised concerns over the wellbeing of the hens in battery farm conditions.
