Child injured in Southam car crash

POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a child was injured in a car crash.

The two-vehicle crash involved a black Jeep Cherokee and white Ford Focus and happened on Welsh Road East at around 7.30pm on December 27 (Tuesday).

A two year-old child and woman in her 40s were both taken to University Hospital Coventry after suffering injuries in the smash.

Police are appealing for anyone who was in the area at the time or saw the cars to come forward.
