A TASTE of Christmas is back on the menu at The Hatton Arms.
The popular gastro pub – part of the Hatton Estate which includes Hatton Country World – like other eateries, was forced by to call time on Christmas last year due to the pandemic.
But this festive season The Hatton Arms has been able to serve up its Christmas Fayre, and it’s sure to prove popular with customers old and new.
The pub takes understandable pride in sourcing its produce locally and direct from its own privately owned Hatton Estate – and those ingredients are put to fine use.
And there’s certainly no quibbling with value at £28.95 for its three course Christmas Fayre menu.
On the menu this year are starters including a quite magnificent Pheasant & Chestnut Terrine with a plum chutney and a Mini Melted Camembert with a cranberry jam., served with warn French bread.
Mains, served with seasonal vegetables, include festive dishes with a twist – Breaded Turkey Escalopes with a sage & Chestnut butter, Apricot stuffed Roast Pork Loin, and for those who don’t fancy meat, a Chestnut, Parsnip & Cranberry Loaf.
A superb dish certainly worth consideration is the Salmon Supreme with Crushed Potatoes, which is accompanied by some wonderful mustard creamed leeks.
Those familiar with The Hatton Arms will already know portions are generous – although its never a case of quantity over quality – and the Christmas menu is no exception.
Desserts also have some fine festive offerings – a traditional Christmas Pudding with brandy sauce, a Mulled Wine Winter Berries Pavlova and a truly winter-warming hot Chocolate Brownie with vanilla ice cream.
The Hatton Arms is popular for very good reason – the quality of the food of course, but also the relaxed welcoming atmosphere, which the staff play a huge part in, ensuring customers every need is met.
It really is a joy to see the return of Christmas at The Hatton Arms.
