CASTLE Hill Baptist Church is opening its doors to all faiths and offering residents the space to remember and reflect on the past year.
On Saturday (April 17) between 11am and 2pm the church will be available for lighting a candle, adding a card to a tree of remembrance, writing a memory, as a space to sit and think or pray.
Reverend Kevin Johnson said: “As the one year marker since the first lockdown goes by, many of us have lost someone or something.
“With so much loss, it’s so important for our wellbeing to take the time to reflect and grieve but this can be so hard to do in our fast- paced society.
“This last year has been really difficult for many. As Christians we want to share God’s love with the community and so we’ve created this space to help people acknowledge what has past, lament their loss but also find hope as they seek a new tomorrow.”
The church is at the top of Castle Hill and has disabled access.
