COMMUNITY supporters are driving up transport availability for wheelchair users.
The Warwickshire Rural Community Council has launched its in-house course to train up mini-bus drivers, using the nationally recognised programme MiDAS.
The charity wants to expand its Back&4th service which helps physically disabled people get out and about.
Project manager Jude Henderson said: “We’re really proud to be running MiDAS and we’re sure all the schools, scouts groups, senior citizen clubs and lots more who travel with us will be happy to hear the good news too.”
She added the charity was also happy to train minibus drivers from other groups and organisations.
