FURTHER consultation period on a planning document for the proposed new settlement at Gaydon and Lighthorne Heath (GLH) began this week.

As part of its Core Strategy, Stratford District Council is looking to build 14,480 homes in the district by 2031 – 3,000 of which have been earmarked for a new settlement at GLH.

The draft Supplementary Planning Document (SPD) for GLH is a council document, which takes the form of a framework masterplan and is designed to guide developers and the local planning authority.

The initial draft SPD went through an informal consultation early last year and has now been updated following feedback from local communities and stakeholders.

The consultation will run until February 26 and the document can be viewed at www.stratford.gov.uk/glh-spdformal in person at the district council offices or in libraries at Harbury, Kineton, Southam and Wellesbourne.

Responses can be made on the website, by downloading a form and emailing [email protected] or by post to FREEPOST RSLH–ZYKJ–TYAZ, Stratford on Avon DC, PO BOX 5341, Stratford, CV37 1LE.
