WARWICKSHIRE College Group has suspended all face to face learning.

Where possible students students will be supported to continue their studies online.

A spokesperson for WCG said: “We have suspended face-to-face learning across all of our colleges following the latest government guidance relating to coronavirus.“All learning, where it is able to continue, will take place online, rather than face-to-face in college, from Monday (March 23).

“For 16 to 18-year-old students only, we are keeping Leamington, Moreton Morrell and Pershore colleges open so that those classed as ‘vulnerable’ or those who are children of key workers can attend, by prior agreement, for online, remote learning. Evesham, Malvern Hills and Rugby colleges will be completely closed.

“All students on full-time programmes, including Access to Higher Education courses, will be supported with online learning.

“Adult part-time classes are all suspended until further notice. Apprentices will no longer attend college but will be supported by our work-based learning team. College residential students can remain at their residences.

“The health of our students and staff is our top priority and we will maintain regular communication with all those affected during the closure.

“This is an unprecedented situation and we would like to thank everyone for their understanding at this time.”
