Warwick District Council is providing much-needed financial help to the district’s businesses in the form of a contribution of £250,000 to the Coventry & Warwickshire Reinvestment Trust (CWRT).
The funding is to support CWRT in delivering the Government’s Coronavirus Business Interruption Loan Scheme (CBIL).
Businesses based in Warwick district who have had their cash flow impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic can apply to CWRT for the Business Interruption Loan Scheme, which aims to help small and medium-sized businesses to access loans above £50,000.
Applications are open now, and businesses are encouraged to apply before the deadline of 30 September 2020.
Richard Hales, Portfolio Holder for Business & Finance, said: “This scheme ensures that businesses in the district can access the support they need to overcome the impact that COVID-19 has had on their cash flow.
“This loan could be a vital lifeline, helping to maintain or even create jobs in the district, so I would encourage all eligible businesses to come forward and apply now.”
