SALTY old sea dogs and landlubbers alike sailed into the Warwickshire Exhibition Centre over the weekend.

The International Model Boat Show attracted some 3,000 visitors to the centre off the Fosse Way near Leamington.

Marine enthusiasts were treated to displays of vessels from throughout the ages courtesy of the clubs and societies exhibiting, along with action on the indoor boating lake.

Younger visitors were able to try their hand at controlling the boats and there was a poignant tribute by the Surface Warship Association during the two minute silence on Remembrance Sunday, plus nostalgic live singing from vintage starlet Kitten von Mew.

Specialist suppliers also set up stall allowing show-goers to stock up on vital supplies for their hobby.
