KENILWORTH Cricket Club has installed a defibrillator in tribute to former groundsman Alan Davies.

It has been placed on the wall of the clubhouse at the club’s Warwick Road ground.

Club secretary Andy Smith said: “The club has obtained a fully automated defibrillator from Cardiac Science following a recommendation of them by the West Midlands Ambulance Service, after the untimely death of club stalwart, Alan Davies, who sadly died earlier this year.

“In addition to the many hours that Alan devoted to Kenilworth Cricket Club assisting with the groundwork and in the nets, he was also heavily involved with Leamington FC and especially with its youth section, for many years. His loss has had a huge impact on both clubs.”
