THE ANNUAL ‘A Taste of Leamington’ event, a culinary evening organised by the Rotary Club of Royal Leamington Spa raised £2,755 for Parkinson’s UK and local charities.

Sponsored by Warwick-based property developer AC Lloyd, the evening started with a drinks reception at Leamington Town Hall before diners began their tour of some of the town’s leading independent restaurants, enjoying different courses in three of them.

Oscars, The Drawing Board, Momenti, Eleven, The Star and Garter, Hart & Co, Sabai Sabai and Mem-Saab restaurants all took part in the evening and were presented with a certificate of participation to say a huge thank you for their support.

Organiser and Rotarian Linda John, whose father has Parkinson’s, said: “We cannot organise this annual event without the support of the independent restaurants in the town. We would like to thank them for their willingness to help make the evening such a success, both financially and also by creating a warm and inviting atmosphere for our diners. We would also extend this thanks to our sponsors this year AC Lloyd, as without their financial support, we could never have achieved such a successful outcome.”

Next year’s event will be held on October 15.
