Culinary tour of Leamington hotspots to raise money for charity

A CULINARY ‘world tour’ around Leamington promises a night of fine dining with a difference.

Leamington Rotary has teamed up with charity Parkinson’s UK to offer food-lovers the chance to visit three different independent restaurants in the town.

The evening on Tuesday (October 17) starts with a drinks reception at the Leamington Tennis Court Club on Bedford Street. Hosts will then take different groups of guests to restaurants including Sabai Sabai, Momenti, The Tame Hare and Mem Saab.

All money raised will be shared between Parkinson’s UK and the rotary club’s causes which this year include Warwickshire Young Carers and Mencap.

Last year the event raised some £1,500 for the charities.

Rotary club president Sabrina Marnham said: “‘A Taste of Leamington’ is a really exciting event for both our club and the town. It showcases the best of independent restaurant dining, giving diners the opportunity to visit three different restaurants for a special experience.”

And Parkinson’s UK spokeswoman Sarah Wakeman says she believes the event will once again be a success.

She said: “We had such a successful event last year with everyone enjoying the variation and quality of food. Even before the end of the night we were being asked ‘when are we doing it again’, so we are and I’m delighted so many fine dining restaurants are again working with us.”

Tickets cost £35. Visit atol.eventbrite.co.uk to book.
