Cyclists in south Leamington urged to stick to the roads or face fine

Leamington Editorial 10th Nov, 2015 Updated: 28th Oct, 2016   0

CYCLISTS in Leamington are being urged to stick to the road or face a fine.

Police will be carrying out traffic operations in the south of the town over the coming weeks and say they will be targeting those who cycle on the pavements.

Anyone who is caught along High Street, Clemens Street, Bath Street and Radford Road may be given a fixed penalty ticket, which carries a fine of £50.

Police will also be carrying out speed checks in the area with any vehicles that are stopped undergoing a winter safety check to ensure they are being correctly maintained.
