DASHING donkeys dominated at the UK 50th Championship Show at Moreton Morrell College.
Donkeys from all over the country descended on the college to battle it out in seven championship classes before being crowned supreme champion on Saturday (August 19).
There were four championship driving events and two junior championship classes along with a host of further competitions.
The coveted title of supreme in-hand champion went to the Perehill Magical Moments, exhibited by Linda Chilton from Oxfordshire. In-hand reserve champion went to Blue Manor Monte Carlo, exhibited and owned by Lorraine Rae from Northumberland.
Supreme driving champion went to Hapgood, and 2023 champion young rider was Olivia Mingham on Toadflax.
Donkey Breed Society chair Rosemary Clarke said: ‘This has been a marvellous event. As ever, turnout was of a very high standard and members came from far and wide. The donkeys were the stars of the show and so too an ever-increasing junior membership keenly showing their donkeys to visitors to the show.”
